  • FREE CONSULTATION: Before I begin work on your commission, we will get together and discuss your vision for the piece, at the same time, we can go over issues such as size, clothing, backgrounds, props, etc.
  • PROPOSAL: After we meet, I’ll provide a proposal, outlining the details and cost of the commission.
  • 1ST PHOTOSHOOT: I will take initial photos, if needed, of the subject for concept and composition development.
  • COMPOSITION SKETCH REVIEW: In the case of an oil painting or mural, I will draw a rough sketch, detailing the direction of the piece for your input and approval.
  • 2ND PHOTOSHOOT & SKETCH FROM LIFE: In the case of oil paintings and some drawings, we may schedule a second photoshoot or sitting to fill in finer details.
  • PORTRAIT REVIEW: When the portrait is nearly complete, we will schedule a meeting for you to see the piece.
  • FRAME SELECTION: If you prefer to frame your piece, as opposed to just the canvas, we have framing resources with a large selection of frames. A custom frame can enhance the work and compliment the decor of where it will hang. However, the frame is an additional cost that I will estimate separately. Custom farming takes approximately 4-7 weeks.
  • FINAL PORTRAIT UNVEILING: When the painting and framing are complete, I will present you with the final piece.
  • DRY-TIME AND VARNISH: The painting is dry to the touch in about a week. Of course, the ideal drying time is 6 months. The work can be on display during the drying period. Once dry, we can make arrangements for me to varnish the painting.
Murals

I handle Murals on a case-by-case basis and charge by the hour. There are many variables to be considered for murals. Let's schedule a meeting to discuss your mural today!

What I Do

Whether you’re looking for a traditional portrait painting or an abstract piece, I will bring your vision to life

Oil paintings are a great way to commemorate marriages, children, and anniversaries. On the other hand, they can capture a memory of a favorite place or beloved family member and become an heirloom for generations.

When it comes to my drawings, I use different techniques and tools, including pencils or charcoal, depending on the project. To help you better understand what you can expect when you commission me, see the drawing styles I typically lean toward in my gallery.

Murals can add warmth and a point of interest to any room in your home, office or even the floor of your front porch! They can range in size from a full wall to a smaller vignette. A mural can encompass an entire room or be tucked into that tiny space you can’t figure out what to do with.

I create logos and signs the old fashioned way, by hand. I will work with you until we have crafted the design you love! We will work together to craft a brand identity that embodies the essence of your business or group. I am committed to providing you with exceptional service, that you will remember and want to tell your friends about.

If your piece requires shipping, we take great care in making sure that your art arrives in perfect condition.
